The Metcal UFTC Ultra-Fine series delivers precision soldering tips engineered for work on fine-pitch SMD components, 0201 packages, and dense PCB layouts where tip geometry tolerances below 0.1 mm are critical. Each UFTC tip operates within Metcal's Connection Validation system, delivering energy at a controlled frequency of 13.56 MHz with a thermal recovery designed to maintain setpoint stability at the junction - no manual temperature dial required. Tip geometries in this series include conical, chisel, and micro-bevel profiles with working widths from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, meeting the process requirements of IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 and IPC-7711/7721 rework standards.
