Maintenance units and components
Compressed air preparation
Aventics maintenance units prepare compressed air through filtration, pressure regulation and optional lubrication, protecting downstream cylinders, valves and tools. The NL1, NL2, NL4, NL6, NLC, AS3, AS5 and MU1 series cover port sizes from G 1/8 to G 2 and operating pressures up to 30 bar; the MH1 series is designed for NPT inch connections.
Every series is available as individual elements (separate filter, pressure regulator, lubricator) or as combined units. Filter fineness ranges from pre-filter (0.3 µm) through standard filter (5 µm) to ultra-fine filter (0.01 µm) and activated-carbon filter. Charge units (SSU) and isolator valves (BAV, SOV) in the AS series enable pressure-safe switching of the supply line.
Series MU1High pressure up to 30 bar, G 1/8-G 2, condensate separator COS
Series NLCUniversal FRL maintenance unit, G 3/8-G 3/4
Series NL1G 1/8-G 1/4, compact, pressure regulator RGS, activated-carbon filter FLA
Series NL2G 1/8-G 3/8, full filter spectrum FLS/FLC/FLP/FLA
Series AS5G 3/4-G 1, up to 16 bar, high flow, charge valve SSV
Series AS3G 1/8-G 1/2, up to 16 bar, charge and isolator valves
Series NL6G 3/4-G 1, large nominal size, FLS/FLC/FLP/FLA and SOV
Series NL4G 1/8-G 3/4, filter-regulator FRE, 2-part units ACD
The AS3 (G 1/8-G 1/2, up to 16 bar) and AS5 (G 3/4-G 1, up to 16 bar) series include, alongside filters and pressure regulators, charge units (SSU) and charge valves (SSV). Charge units allow slow pressurisation of the downstream line: the solenoid valve SOV first closes, the charge unit builds up pressure gradually, then SOV opens fully. Isolator valves BAV (manual) and SOV (electric 24 VDC, 110/230 VAC or pneumatic) safely isolate the downstream circuit for maintenance. Distributors DIN and DIS consolidate multiple outlets at a single connection point.
Typical applications: Compressed-air supply for manufacturing and assembly lines (NL1/NL2/NL4), large plants with high air flow (NL6, AS5), high-pressure systems up to 30 bar such as test rigs and spray applications (MU1), food and pharmaceutical production requiring oil-free air (FLA stage), and systems with NPT connections (MH1 inch).
