Maintenance units and components
The Aventics Series NL6 is the large-nominal-size maintenance unit for compressed-air preparation, covering G 3/4 and G 1 port connections at up to 10 bar operating pressure. The range includes standard filters (NL6-FLS, 5 µm and 8 µm), ultra-fine filters (NL6-FLC, 0.01 µm), pre-filters (NL6-FLP, 0.3 µm), activated-carbon filters (NL6-FLA), pressure regulators (NL6-RGS) and a pneumatically actuated 3/2-way valve (NL6-SOV). This makes the NL6 series a complete filter spectrum solution in large nominal sizes.
NL6-RGS pressure regulators are available with control range up to 100 bar, gauge port (GAN) and optional pneumatic remote adjustment (PNE); stainless-steel (SS) versions suit corrosive environments. Filter bowls are SSN or PBS material, with automatic (AO) or manual (HO) drains.

NL6 is selected when a plant has G 3/4 or G 1 compressed-air connections and the required flow rate exceeds the capacity of smaller series (NL4, NL2). For low-oil applications such as painting or instrumentation, an FLC stage and optionally an FLA stage are installed downstream of the NL6-FLS main filter. The pneumatically actuated NL6-SOV allows remote isolation of the compressed-air circuit without a separate shut-off fitting.
Typical applications: Central compressed-air preparation for production halls and manufacturing lines with G 1 main supply, supply to high-simultaneity valve islands and parts buffers, large machinery in automotive body-in-white and press shops, painting and coating systems with ultra-fine and activated-carbon filtration, and compressor stations with G 3/4 or G 1 outlet lines.
