Festo pneumatics
Festo Control Technology covers decentralised control systems, operator panels, and extension modules for pneumatic and electrical automation tasks. The range extends from pneumatic step modules (TAA, TAB) and pulse generators (VLG-4) for purely pneumatic sequential controls to the modern CDPX decentralised controller series with integrated fieldbus connections (CPX-P). Input modules (CTSL-D, CPX-P-8DE-N) and connection plates (CAPC-F1) allow modular expansion as required.
The CDPX series offers operator panels in 7-inch and 10-inch formats (CDPX-X-A-W-7 and CDPX-X-A-S-10), software-based configuration (CDPX-SL-C3 software licence), and fieldbus adapters (CDPX-F-CO for CANopen). CPX-P peripherals with input modules and connection blocks (CPX-P-AB) can be mounted directly on Festo valve terminals.

Typical applications: Purely pneumatic sequence controls for simple step tasks without a PLC (TAA/TAB/VLG), decentralised machine controls with CDPX operator panel and CPX-P peripherals for compact production cells, fieldbus integration via CANopen (CDPX-F-CO) into higher-level automation systems, and extending existing Festo valve terminals with digital input signals.
