Sensors
Festo sensors detect positions, pressures, flow rates and distances in pneumatic and hydraulic systems, supplying signals for control, monitoring and diagnostics. The range spans proximity switches for cylinder end positions and inductive sensors for metal detection, through pressure and vacuum switches, to optical sensors, air gap sensors and position sensors for continuous stroke measurement. Connecting cables of the SIM family, sensor boxes for hazardous areas, and signal converters for interface adaptation complete the programme.
All sensors are matched to the Festo actuator and valve portfolio, and can be integrated into fieldbus-based control architectures via M8 and M12 connectors. The Classic line supplies legacy series such as the SMEO-4U for existing installations.
