VacuWeld vacuum chamber sealer with venturi air pump, 90 % vacuum - Iteco 7914275

Component reels and printed boards must not be crushed during evacuation. On the Iteco 7914275 the operator therefore sets the vacuum level as a percentage rather than a suction time, monitored by a sensor inside the chamber, up to 90 % vacuum produced by a compressed air pump with venturi effect.

Features

• Venturi compressed air pump instead of an electric pump: no oil change, low noise, little vibration and hardly any heat at the workplace.
• Digital vacuum setting in percent with a sensor in the chamber. The Iteco catalogue recommends 75 to 85 % for component reels and 70 to 80 % for printed boards so the bag does not deform the goods.
• Seal bar of 460 x 10 mm for wide barrier bags, useful chamber size 500 x 600 x 100 mm.
• Up to 10 sealing programmes can be stored, so the operator switches between bag formats without resetting parameters.
• Built for ESD protected areas: stainless steel chamber and aluminium cover, no charge generation during the process.
• Flat bench top design only 270 mm high, mains supply 230 V/50 Hz with 1 kW.

Applications

Dry packing of moisture sensitive devices (MSD) in ESD barrier bags, preservation of component reels and assembled boards, shipping preparation in EPA areas. The compressed air version suits clean areas and laboratories where an oil pump is unwanted because of oil mist and maintenance.

Compatibility and scope of supply

Operation requires a compressed air supply of 6 bar at 6 nl/s. Both flat and embossed barrier bags can be processed because evacuation takes place inside the chamber and not through the bag mouth. Desiccant bags are available from Iteco under number 7914005. Higher vacuum levels of up to 98 % are reached by the oil pump models Iteco 7914278 and 7914279. Made in Italy.
