Adsorption filter cassette A12 upper with 12 kg activated carbon for ACD 1200 - ULT 02.1.609

The A12 adsorption filter cassette is the upper activated carbon stage of the ULT ACD 1200 extraction units. It holds a 12 kg activated carbon fill and is listed by ULT as spare filter 4-00401.

Filtration works by adsorption, that is by attachment of gaseous substances to the surface of the activated carbon. The filter design follows the rated airflow of the units so that the contact time is long enough for good adsorption. Coarse dust is retained by the upstream Z-Line G4 filter.

Applications

Filter change on ACD 1200 extraction units that capture odours, gases and vapours from processes such as bonding, pretreatment, painting and printing, cleaning, laminating and casting.

Operating notes

The filtered clean gas can be returned to the workroom (recirculation mode), so no heat is lost. Recirculation is not permitted for carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances. In that case the exhaust spigot is fitted on the outlet side and the clean gas is ducted into a central exhaust system.
