Alarm box with warning beacon and buzzer for Ghibli dry cabinets - Iteco 8104856

A dry cabinet rarely fails loudly. A door left ajar or an ageing dehumidifier module is usually noticed only when the humidity has been too high for hours. The alarm box 8104.856 makes exactly that condition audible and visible before a batch of moisture sensitive devices is affected.

What the alarm box does

• Two monitored values: alarm on exceeding the humidity threshold or the temperature threshold inside the cabinet.
• Delay instead of false alarms: the alarm is raised only when the threshold stays exceeded beyond the set period, so a short door opening does not trigger it.
• Visual and audible: LED warning beacon plus buzzer, the beacon stays visible as a status indication after acknowledgement.
• Buzzer can be silenced: a switch on the housing mutes the buzzer without ending the alarm evaluation.
• Retrofittable: the box is added as an option on the cabinet and linked to the cabinet hygrometer.

Applications

Useful wherever the cabinet is not permanently watched: night shift, weekends, stock rooms without a manned workstation. In plants that document the floor life of their MSD components to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033, the alarm gives a reason to check a batch instead of baking it again as a precaution.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The alarm box is an option of the Ghibli series and works together with the hygrometer built into the cabinet. For continuous recording of humidity and temperature the portable DryLogger Iteco 9265.302 or the wall unit Tekmatrix 32 under Iteco 8105.113U or 8105.113E can be added. If humidity recovers too slowly after opening, the Fast Recovery module Iteco 8106.820 solves that.
