Anti-static microfiber Tiger Cloth 450 x 250 mm, dry use - Kinetronics ASC-PP

Large glass surfaces only come clean if wiping does not create a fresh charge that pulls the dust straight back. The Kinetronics Tiger Cloth ASC-PP works dry and gives you 450 x 250 mm to do it with. Conductive polyester fibers are woven into the microfiber fabric every 4 mm and carry the charge away while you wipe.

• A measured figure, not a claim: below 10 megohm dry to Kinetronics test method TC-01. An independent institute measured resistance values for the ASC well below those of competing cloths.
• Sized for surfaces: 450 x 250 mm clears scanner, framing and monitor glass in a few passes instead of forcing you to refold a small cloth.
• Washable at 30 °C: estimated service life is 25 to 100 washes depending on soiling, and washing does not impair the conductivity.
• Kind to the skin: because no conductive liquids are used, the cloth is favourable from a dermatological point of view.

Applications

The ASC-PP is used dry, with no cleaner. Typical jobs are film strips, negatives and transparencies, populated circuit boards, CDs, monitor and scanner glass, lenses, binoculars, touchscreens and picture frames. On non-conductive surfaces such as plastic or glass it stops a dust-attracting charge from building up during cleaning, which is particularly useful in circuit board production. For lenses, viewfinders and displays the smaller Tiger Cloth ASC-TC5 at 145 x 130 mm is easier to handle. If you clean with a solution, take the black Panther Cloth instead, because the Tiger Cloth stays dry in use.

Care and washing

Wash at 30 °C together with other synthetics, small load, normal detergent, gentle cycle and if possible an extra rinse. Tumble dry on low heat. For optical cleaning the cloth is retired only once the fibers show visible breaks.
