Anti-static microfibre cloth 200 x 200 mm for wet cleaning - Kinetronics PC-MPC8

Lenses, viewing windows and small assemblies do not call for a large cloth. They call for one that sits in the hand and leaves no fresh charge behind. The Kinetronics Panther Cloth PC-MPC8 measures 200 x 200 mm and is made for cleaning with liquids.

Benefits

• Not soaked, not impregnated: the dissipative effect comes from conductive polyester fibres spaced 4 mm apart rather than from a liquid in the fabric. Nothing can dry out or evaporate, so the effect stays constant throughout the service life.

Applications

The PC-MPC8 suits the wet cleaning of sensitive surfaces where a fresh charge would get in the way. The cloth ships dry and picks up the cleaning solution only at the point of use. While you wipe, the fabric keeps a new charge from building. A 200 x 200 mm cloth quarters neatly, so every pass starts on a clean face. For larger areas there is the PC-BP at 450 x 250 mm, and for purely dry work Kinetronics offers the same fabric in orange as the Tiger Cloth ASC. Since no conductive liquid sits in the cloth, the manufacturer also rates it as favourable from a dermatological point of view.

Care and washing

Wash the cloth with other synthetic fibres at 30 °C, preferably in a small load, using ordinary detergent on a gentle cycle. An extra rinse helps if your machine offers one. Tumble dry on low heat. Washing does not affect the conductivity. Expect 25 to 100 washes depending on how heavily the cloth is soiled. For optical cleaning the end of service life is reached once the fibres show visible breaks, because the cloth can start to lint.
