Pneumatic connection technology
The Aventics CP1 coupling series provides quick-disconnect connectors for pneumatic hose lines in nominal widths NW 5, NW 7.2, NW 7.8 and NW 10. The range includes plug couplings (CP1-S), shut-off couplings (self-sealing) and safety couplings in both male and female thread versions from G 1/8 to G 1/2.
Safety couplings (NW 7.8, bore sizes D 60-130) vent to atmosphere before separating, preventing uncontrolled whipping of disconnected hose ends. Shut-off couplings seal automatically when the plug is withdrawn, maintaining system pressure on the supply side. Both types are available in ATEX-rated EX versions for use in explosive atmospheres.

Typical applications: Tool connections at compressed-air supply points in production and assembly halls, connecting handling equipment and pneumatic cylinders to the air network, blow guns and cleaning nozzles on machine tools, and coupling points in ATEX zones in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
