Pneumatic connection technology
Aventics rotary unions transfer compressed air between a stationary pipe connection and a rotating machine component. The programme comprises five variants in nominal bores NW7 and NW12: NW7 rotary unions for speeds up to 550-1100 rpm and NW12 rotary unions for 700-1000 rpm, plus a high-speed NW12 variant up to 3000 rpm. All variants are available with male or female thread connections (M suffix = metric, U suffix = alternative flange version).

Typical applications: Compressed air supply to rotating clamping systems (pneumatic chucks) on CNC lathes, air purge supply to tool spindles in machining centres, pneumatic supply to rotary tables in indexing machines and transfer lines, compressed air feed at robot joints (rotary feed-through), and rotating pneumatic grippers in handling and palletising systems.
