Cylinder attachments and accessories
Festo fasteners for sensors are mounting kits that fix proximity sensors (cylinder sensors) securely and reproducibly in the T-slot of Festo pneumatic cylinders. The SMB, SMBR and SMBS series cover different cylinder profiles and sensor widths. SMBR kits are bore-specific for cylinder sizes from 8 to 63 mm; dedicated SMB-8-FENG variants suit the FENG guide units. With 97 items, a matching kit is available for every common combination of cylinder slot and sensor type.
Selection is governed by the cylinder bore and the width of the sensor being used. SMBR-8 kits fit cylinders with an 8 mm sensor slot width for bores from 8 to 63 mm. For FENG guide units, the dedicated SMB-8-FENG variants must be used. SMB-1, SMB-2-B and SMB-3-B are clamp kits for wider sensors or non-standard slot geometries. All kits include the clamping and fastening hardware required.
Typical applications: End-position sensing on working cylinders in assembly and handling equipment, position feedback in gripping and clamping systems, stroke end detection in pneumatic press axes, and cylinder position reporting in PLC-controlled multi-axis systems.
