Sensors
Festo pressure and vacuum sensors of the PE, PEV and VPEV series monitor operating pressure and vacuum in pneumatic systems, generating a switching signal when a set threshold is exceeded or not reached. Pressure transducers PE/PEV with G1/8 and G1/4 ports function as electromechanical pressure switches, while VPEV acts as a vacuum switch for suction cups and vacuum pumps. Mounting plate systems APL-2N simplify multiple-sensor arrangements on a manifold plate.
Angled connector variants PEV-WD with LED indicator allow visual monitoring of the switching state directly at the mounting point. The series covers single-output (1-N) and dual-output (2-N) versions, NPN/PNP switching, covering both simple switching tasks and differentiating control functions.

Typical applications: Pressure monitoring in pneumatic supply circuits and manifold blocks, vacuum monitoring at suction cups in handling and pick-and-place systems, pressure drop detection in accumulators and pressure vessels, min/max pressure monitoring in machine tool coolant circuits, and safety shutdown on pressure loss in clamping fixtures.
