Rodless cylinders
Short rodless guide cylinders of the LZK series use a shortened guide profile that gives a reduced installed length compared with the standard LZ series, while offering the same stroke range. Bore diameters from 18 to 63 mm are available with strokes from 100 to 2,000 mm. The shortened guide rail reduces the weight and axial footprint of the cylinder, but assumes a lower tipping moment from the attached load.
The LZK is suited when installed length must be minimised and the attached load does not impose a high tipping moment on the carriage. Where loads have a significant lever arm or where the carriage is subjected to high lateral forces, the standard LZ series with its longer guide rail is preferred. Accessories such as stops (AS/ASV), foot brackets (FB), centre mounts (MB), and pendulum bridges (PBB/PBS) are compatible with the LZ series counterparts.
Typical applications: Linear axes with light loads and low tipping moment, transfer stations with limited installation space, pick-and-place units with compact grippers, and applications where total system weight is a factor and the reduced guide length of the LZK is sufficient.
