Anti-static hand brush 140 mm with grounding cord, conductive handle - Kinetronics SW-141

When you dust scanner glass, framing glass, displays or populated assemblies, the dust is rarely the real problem. The charge that pulls it back is. The Kinetronics StaticWisk SW-141 covers 140 mm per stroke and drains that charge to earth through the supplied grounding cord. Once the stroke is done the surface is electrically neutral and no longer attracts fresh particles.

Applications

Kinetronics lists the StaticWisk range for lenses, filters, SLR mirrors and optical components, film and film strips, scanner and framing glass, monitors and displays, acrylic and plastic surfaces, electronic assemblies and circuit boards, jewellery, glass, instruments and technical equipment. The narrow widths in the range are meant for lenses and film strips, the 140 mm of the SW-141 for working across an area. The grounded version earns its place where the same surface recharges after every handling step, for example on acrylic and plastic sheet or in a repeating production cycle. For occasional cleaning the cordless SW-140 is enough.

Setup and care

Connect the grounding cord to an existing earthing point at the workstation before use. The brush must not be used above 65 °C. Wash soiled fibers with a mild shampoo, then comb them and leave them to dry flat overnight on a level surface. The anti-static properties survive the wash.
