Anti-static hand brush 30 mm, conductive handle, for film and assemblies - Kinetronics SW-030

Film, film strips and scanner originals attract dust the moment they leave their sleeve, and every extra wipe puts a new charge on them. At 30 mm the StaticWisk SW-030 usually clears a strip in a single pass instead of several overlapping ones, which means less friction to begin with. Whatever charge does build up is taken by the conductive synthetic fibres and led away through the conductive handle, so the original goes into the scanner electrically neutral.

Applications

Film and photo archives, reprographics and digitising work: film, film strips and originals before scanning. Electronics manufacturing: assemblies and circuit boards where a whole board is cleaned at once and the 20 mm version would need too many passes. It also serves lenses, filters and optical components, instruments, glass and technical equipment.

Care

Wash soiled fibres with a mild shampoo, then comb them and let them dry flat overnight on a level surface. Washing does not affect the anti-static behaviour. The brush must not be used above 65 °C. Where charges build up again and again, Kinetronics also supplies the series with a grounding connection, though only from 100 mm working width upwards (SW-101, SW-141, SW-281).
