Shut-off valves

Valves

Festo shut-off valves block compressed air flow in one direction while allowing it to pass freely in the other. The core range consists of check valves in the H and HA/HB series, available in thread sizes M5 and G 1/8 to G 3/4, as well as push-in versions (QS-4 to QS-12). 109 articles cover standard check valves (H) together with tool-free mounting variants (HA, HB) for 4-12 mm PA tubing.

HA valves open in direction A (supply-side unrestricted), HB valves in direction B. Both series combine an external thread connection on one side with a push-in fitting on the other, eliminating a compression fitting at the tube side.

SeriesPortFeature
HM5, G 1/8 to G 3/4; QS-4 to QS-12Standard check valve, external thread or push-in
HAG 1/8 to G 1/2 + QS-4 to QS-12Check valve with push-in on side A, external thread on side B
HBG 1/8 to G 1/2 + QS-4 to QS-12Check valve with push-in on side B, external thread on side A

For pure threaded connections on both sides, the H series offers the most compact form. HA and HB valves reduce assembly effort when one side uses PA tubing. Thread size and tube diameter (QS-4 = 4 mm, QS-6 = 6 mm, QS-8 = 8 mm, QS-10 = 10 mm, QS-12 = 12 mm) must match the rest of the system. H-M5 suits miniature applications with M5 thread; H-QS-12 handles larger flow rates on 12 mm tubing.

Typical applications: Pressure holding in cylinder chambers after valve switching, preventing pressure drop in pneumatic accumulator circuits, backflow prevention in branched networks, protecting vacuum circuits against pressure surges, and directing unidirectional flow in compressed air lines.
