Laser marking and engraving release fume right in the operator's field of view, so it should be captured at source. The LAS 160.1 MD.11 K provides 80 m³/h at 1,900 Pa, up to 190 m³/h and 3,200 Pa vacuum, from a stepless 0.15 kW EC blower. At 49 to 54 dB(A) it stays quiet enough to sit next to the laser, and an optical indicator shows when a filter change is due.

Description
Laser fume is a mixture of aerosols, gases and nanoparticles that does not belong at the workplace. The ULT LAS 160.1 MD.11 K captures it at source and filters it in a multi-stage storage filter system. With a footprint of 405 x 355 x 545 mm the unit stands on castors right next to the laser and runs at a nominal duty point of 80 m³/h at 1,900 Pa.

The prefilter stages bind most of the particles and stop the H13 main filter element from clogging early. Changing panel filter and filter mat at shorter intervals extends the service life of the more expensive combination filter cassette.
Applications
Laser cutting, laser marking, laser structuring and laser engraving at single workstations in electronics and metal working. The air volume suits one capture point on a closed or partly open laser enclosure. The filtered clean gas can be returned to the room in recirculation mode, so no heat is lost. Recirculation is not permitted when carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances are extracted.
Compatibility and scope of delivery
Supplied as the ULT 160.1 series extraction and filter unit with a 3.0 m EU mains cable. Capture elements such as DN 50 hoses, bends, hoods or Alsident System 50 extraction arms and the SUB D9 interface belong to the series accessory range and are ordered separately. Filter build SK with an upstream expanded metal prefilter is available as an alternative.
