Die assembly double loop stand-off/lock-in for Supercut/RP - Iteco 7915158A

The die block decides which lead form the Supercut/RP produces. This version forms two loops one above the other: the upper one sets the component body at a defined distance from the board, the lower one locks the lead underneath the board. Populated assemblies can therefore be moved and turned over before soldering.

Features

• Stand-off and lock-in are produced in a single stroke, so the leads do not have to be clinched after insertion.
• The gap under the component body lets cleaning media drain away and keeps the solder joint accessible for optical inspection.
• The lower loop holds the part in the hole even when the assembly is turned or carried to the wave solder machine.
• The block travels vertically under pneumatic control and is exchanged for a different lead form without realigning the machine.

Applications

Standard form for taped electrolytic capacitors, ceramic capacitors, resistors and diodes in through-hole assembly, wherever the part has to stand at a defined height above the board and hold itself until soldering. The same form is required where heat has to escape under the body or the area beneath it has to be cleaned.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die block fits all four versions of the Supercut/RP regardless of tape pitch and supply voltage. One block is supplied, the machine is not included. Other lead forms are available within the 7915.158 range, for instance 7915.158B with stand-off but no lock-in, 7915.158D for a straight cut only and 7915.158F for 90 degree bending.
