SCS Iron Man Plus workstation monitor with EOS and body voltage detection, dual-wire - Desco CTC331-WW

When soldering or driving screws on sensitive assemblies, a grounded operator alone is not enough. The SCS Iron Man Plus CTC331-WW continuously monitors the path to ground of one operator wearing a dual-wire wrist strap and one conductive or dissipative worksurface. At the same time it reads the voltage on the PCB ground plane and alarms when a soldering iron or electric screwdriver introduces overvoltage of ±5 V or less.

Applications

Hand soldering stations, rework and final assembly of electronic boards, wherever mains-powered tools touch the PCB. The mat connects via wire terminals, and mat monitoring can be disabled simply by leaving the wire out, with no jumper required.
