Compressed air preparation
The Festo Classic series forms the established core programme for compressed air preparation, with matched components in MINI, MIDI and MAXI sizes. The range includes maintenance units (FRC, FRCS) with and without lubricator, filters (LF, LFMA, LFMB, LFMBA), filter regulating valves (LFR, LFRS), lubricators (LOE), activated carbon filters (LFX), pressure regulating valves (LR, LRS), regulator banks (LRB-K), bank-mounted regulators (LRB, LRBS), on/off valves (HE, HEE, HEL, HEP), branch module (FRM), distributor block (FRZ) and membrane air dryer (LDM1). All components are mechanically and fluidically matched within each size.

For standard applications requiring lubrication (cylinders, rotary actuators), FRC maintenance units with integrated lubricator are selected; for oil-free circuits, the LFR maintenance units apply. Body size (MINI, MIDI, MAXI) depends on the system nominal flow. Multiple parallel consumers at different pressures are served by LRB-K regulator banks. On/off valves (HE manual, HEE electrical, HEL pressure build-up, HEP pneumatic) ensure controlled pressure build-up at system start, particularly in systems with energy-saving shutdown concepts. The LDM1 membrane dryer suits control air in locations without a power supply.
Typical applications: control air preparation for pneumatic assembly and handling systems, oil-free air supply for food and pharmaceutical plants (LFMA/LFMB/LFX), multi-channel pressure supply with LRB-K regulator banks, safety shutdown and controlled restart via on/off valves, and control air drying at remote machine stations with LDM1.
