Compressed air preparation
The Festo DPA pressure booster series amplifies the supply pressure of a compressed air network to a higher output pressure without requiring an external energy source. Available in body sizes DPA-40, DPA-63 and DPA-100 with output nominal pressures of 10 and 16 bar. Versions with integrated reservoir (CRVZS2/5/10/20) store compressed air for impulse demand; variants with shut-off valve (-A) and pressure display (-D) extend the range. All DPA types operate on the differential piston principle and boost pressure continuously.

Typical applications: pressure boosting for leak tests and tightness checks requiring pressure above network supply, clamping cylinders and fixtures with elevated force demands, riveting tools and impact wrenches with impulse air demand (CRVZS reservoir), blow moulding tools with short-duration high pressure requirements, and local sub-networks with increased operating pressure in new machines.
