Double piston cylinder EXSM

Cylinder

Double piston cylinders EXSM by EMC are tandem pneumatic cylinders in which two pistons act in series on a common piston rod, generating approximately twice the drive force of a single piston of the same body width. The series is available in bore diameters from 10 to 25 mm with strokes from 10 to 150 mm, as confirmed by articles EMC EXSM 10/10 through EXSM 25/150. Repair kits (REP) are available per bore diameter.

Dual-piston tandem arrangement - two pistons on one rod generate approximately double the force at the same body size
Bores 10-25 mm, strokes 10-150 mm - EXSM 10/10 to EXSM 25/150; longer strokes than compact cylinders
Higher force without larger bore - space-efficient alternative to a larger single-piston cylinder
REP repair kits - seal sets per bore diameter for field maintenance
Compact cross-section - narrower housing than a single cylinder with equivalent force output

Typical applications: EXSM double piston cylinders are used when higher forces are needed in a confined space: clamping fixtures with high holding force, pressing units with a narrow cross-section, riveting and crimping processes in electronics manufacturing, and handling modules where space constraints rule out a larger single cylinder.
