TO92 center lead spread and lock-in die for Supercut/RS4 - Iteco 162600

TO92 packages leave the bulk container with three leads in one row, while many boards place the middle pad offset. On the Supercut/RS4 this die assembly spreads the center lead onto the hole pattern and forms a lock-in loop in the same stroke, so that the device stays in the hole.

Operating features

• Center lead out of the row - the middle wire is spread away from the two outer ones and meets the offset pad.
• Lock-in in the same stroke - the loop clamps the device in the hole before soldering starts.
• Only one lead is formed - the two outer wires stay straight, which spares them and keeps the die simple.
• Cutting and forming in one step - the Supercut/RS4 trims the leads to length at the same time.
• Up to 2000 pieces per hour - the machine produces this geometry at its normal cycle rate.

Applications

TO92 transistors, small signal regulators and sensors with a triangular pad arrangement, and assemblies that are moved before wave soldering where a single retained lead is sufficient.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die belongs to the tooling programme of the Supercut/RS4, which Iteco supplies under part number 7915.166 without any die. Every forming shape needs its own die assembly, and the unit is exchanged as one complete assembly. Dies of the 16x.xxx range fit the Supercut/RS4, the 18x.xxx range fits the larger Supercut/TS1. Supplied as one complete die assembly. Made in Italy.
