Pneumatic cutting and preforming machine for loose radial components without die - Iteco 7915166

Loose radial components have to be cut to length and bent into the shape the layout requires before they reach the board. The pneumatic Supercut/RS4 does both in a single stroke and handles up to 2000 pieces per hour.

Operating features

• Two external dies in one stroke - cutting and forming run at the same time, the part is handled only once.
• Foot pedal release - both hands stay free for feeding and placing the components.
• Manual top feed - the leads are inserted vertically into the die, without tape and without a magazine.
• Up to 2000 pieces per hour - enough throughput for small batches and prototyping without any automation effort.
• More than twenty catalogue shapes - lock-in, stand-off, lead spread, straight cut and 90° bending for TO92, TO220, LED and diode packages.
• Fast die change - the die unit is exchanged as one complete assembly, with no single parts to align.
• Three cylinder version - with assembly kit 7915.167 and a custom die the machine also produces shapes outside the standard programme.

Prototyping and small batch production with loose radial components, rework on remaining stock that is not taped, repair and service workshops, and preparation benches where package types change often and an automatic machine would stand idle.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The machine ships without a die, so the tooling for the required shape has to be ordered separately. All die assemblies from the 16x.xxx range fit, for example Iteco 160.900 for lock-in, 161.000 for the straight cut or 163.100 for the 90° bend on a TO220. Iteco also offers component holder 160.200 and kit 160.300 for fine adjustment of the forming height. The larger Supercut/TS1 carries part number 7915.171 and works with the 18x.xxx tooling range.
