90 degree bending die TO220 for Supercut/TOCF cut and form machine - Iteco 131300

Mounting a TO220 flat on the board requires cleanly bent leads. This die assembly performs the cut and the 90 degree bend on the Supercut/TOCF in one stroke, so the package body and the hole pattern match without any rework at the bench.

Operating features

• Cut and bend in one stroke - the part leaves the machine ready formed, a second operation is not needed.
• Identical angle across the batch - the bend is defined by the die and not by hand tools, which protects lead and package body.
• Pneumatic work holding - the wire holder clamps the leads close to the body, so the bend line stays repeatable.
• Up to 3000 pieces per hour - the machine keeps its rated output even with forming.
• Ready for heat sink mounting - bent leads allow the package to be bolted flat against the cooling surface.

Applications

Power supplies, motor drives and inverters where TO220 devices are mounted lying down and screwed to a heat sink. Also assemblies with a limited height budget in which the transistor cannot be inserted upright.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die works only in the Supercut/TOCF automatic machine, which Iteco supplies under part numbers 7915.176 and 7915.177 in the 115 V and 230 V versions. The machine ships without tooling and every forming shape needs its own die. Each component package additionally requires the matching clamping piece and tube holder. Supplied as one complete die assembly. Made in Italy.
