Quick couplings
The Nitto Kohki Paint Cupla is a quick coupling developed specifically for the media and material requirements of painting and coating systems. The range comprises four items in two material combinations: plugs (PE-3P-G and PE-3P-NPS) in stainless steel with no internal seal, and sockets (PE-3S-G and PE-3S-NPS) in aluminium with PFA (perfluoroalkoxy polymer) seals. PFA is chemically near-inert against paints, solvents and aggressive coating media, qualifying this coupling for spray guns, paint feed lines and coating spray systems.

Operating principle
- Unique swing connection system enables easy connection and disconnection of paint spray gun and paint hose even by gloved hands.
- Full-open gate valve mechanism prevents paint precipitate buildup.
- Adoption of special resin seal that has resistance against solvents made it possible to feature superior durability, long stable capability, and easy cleaning of paint spray gun after the job.
- Connection and disconnection can be made even if paint sticks to the socket sleeve.
- Small and lightweight design (80 g per set) reduces the weight to be held by hand of operators.
- Built-in sleeve lock mechanism prevents accidental disconnection of CUPLA, ensuring safe operation.
- Wide variety of end configurations (standard thread: G 3/8) are available in response to various paint spray guns.

Choose PAINT CUPLA where a solvent based paint line has to be connected and separated at the spray gun, since the fluoro-resin (PFA) seal and the full-open gate valve mechanism are specified for that fluid. Its working pressure is 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}, so a line that has to hold the 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} of peer series such as HI CUPLA BL, NUT CUPLA, LOCK CUPLA 200 or ROTARY LINE CUPLA calls for one of those instead. The shut-off is one-way, so where both halves have to close on disconnection COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA with its two-way shut-off is the closer match.
