Twist Plug
Quick couplings
The Nitto Kohki Twist Plug is a quick-coupling plug in steel with NBR seal that locks and secures by a 90-degree twist. The range includes four types: TS-10PM, TS-20PM, TS-30PM, and TS-20PFF in nominal sizes 10, 20, and 30. The PM variants use metric threads; the PFF variant uses a flange connection. The twist-lock mechanism prevents accidental disconnection in vibration-intensive environments.
| Type | Nominal size | Port | Material | Seal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TS-10PM | 10 | Metric (PM) | Steel | NBR |
| TS-20PM | 20 | Metric (PM) | Steel | NBR |
| TS-30PM | 30 | Metric (PM) | Steel | NBR |
| TS-20PFF | 20 | Flange (PFF) | Steel | NBR |
Typical applications: Compressed-air connections on vibration-loaded machines and vehicles, pneumatic line ports on rotating or oscillating equipment components, factory automation with frequent line changes, and any application requiring a vibration-proof push-lock connection without tools.

Operating principle
- A plug with a free twisting neck for hose connections to pneumatic tools and devices.
- Free angle control provides comfortable job positions, even in narrow spaces or with overhead works.
- The flexible part is reinforced with self-lubricating plastics to give smooth bending action and excellent durability.
- Dust protector over the flexible part prevents dirt and swarf from entering.
- Eliminates hose twisting, kinking, or bending. Greatly improves working efficiency.

TWIST PLUG is specified when hose twisting or kinking at a pneumatic tool has to be eliminated and the socket already in place belongs to the HI CUPLA or NUT CUPLA series. Its air rating is 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}, so lines run at 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} call for one of the sibling series rated at that pressure, such as HI CUPLA BL, NUT CUPLA, LOCK CUPLA 200, ROTARY LINE CUPLA or ROTARY PLUG. Like those, TWIST PLUG is one-way shut-off; where both sides of the line have to close, COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA with two-way shut-off at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} is the alternative.
