Quick couplings
The Nitto Kohki Nut Cupla is a threaded-nut quick coupling for compressed-air lines, secured by a grooved locking geometry. The range covers 25 items across the PN (plug) and SN (socket) series in steel with NBR seals, in nominal sizes 50, 60, 65, 80, 85 and 110, plus the reinforced 200 series for heavier-duty line connections. Variants with the G suffix (e.g. 65PNG, 85SNG) are earthed versions for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Operating principle
- For connection to urethane hose, braided hose.
- No hose clamp required.
- Fitted with hose guard nut to prevent possible kinking.
- HI CUPLA for connection to braided hoses is now available.
- Nut types are available in HI CUPLA Series and HI CUPLA 200 Series.
- Hose guard nut type available to prevent hose kinking.
- To mount on hose, simply slide it over the nipple and tighten the nut.
- The design to tighten outside of hose reduces hose slip away or fluid leaks.

NUT CUPLA is the choice where the coupling sits on urethane or braided hose and the hose has to be held by a threaded nut rather than a hose clamp; the other one-way shut-off series in this group at 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2}, such as HI CUPLA BL, LOCK CUPLA 200, ROTARY LINE CUPLA and ROTARY PLUG, are selected for their locking or swivel function rather than for the hose mounting. The hose guard nut versions (PNG, 200-SNG) add protection against kinking, and ROTARY NUT CUPLA combines the nut mounting with a ball bearing swivel mechanism. If spill on disconnection is the deciding point, COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA at 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} is two-way shut-off, while NUT CUPLA is one-way shut-off and requires flow from socket to plug.

Interchangeability and size groups
Interchangeable with HI CUPLA models 10, 17, 20, 30, 40, and 60. Interchangeable with each models of NUT CUPLA series and HI CUPLA series (except models 400, 600, and 800). Please see page 21 for HI CUPLA Series Interchangeability.
