Stand-Off Preforming Die Assembly with 3 mm Curl for Superform/AF - Iteco 420750

Axial components that must not sit flat on the board need a defined stand-off. The Iteco 420750 die assembly forms a 3 mm curl into each lead on the Superform/AF, so the component body ends up 6.5 to 12 mm above the board depending on the machine version.

Features

• Curl height a of 3 mm, which is 0.5 mm more clearance than the sister assembly 420800 with its 2.5 mm curl.
• Lead diameters 0.6 to 0.9 mm on the standard machine 7915.095 and 0.8 to 1 mm on the reinforced machine 7915.096.
• Lead pitch P adjustable from 10.5 to 61 mm, component body up to 50 mm long and 8 mm in diameter.
• Cutting, U bending and preforming are mechanically synchronised, the machine reaches up to 7000 components per hour.
• The preforming step can be switched off at the machine when only cutting and U bending are required.

Applications

Assembly preparation for resistors and diodes whose body has to stay clear of the board for thermal reasons, and for boards that are cleaned or conformally coated underneath the component.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The die assembly belongs to the Superform/AF cutting, bending and preforming machine. Machine accessories are the motor unit Iteco 7915.032 at 230 V or Iteco 7915.033 at 115 V, the BR6 tape reel holder Iteco 7915.185 and the CS40 feeder Iteco 7915.184 for loose components. Supplied as a set of two preforming groups, the machine itself is not included.
