Stand-Off Lock-In Preforming Die Assembly for Leads 0.5-0.8 mm - Iteco 420850

When a populated board is moved or turned over before soldering, the components must not drop out of their holes. The Iteco 420850 die assembly forms a lock-in kink into the lead ends alongside the stand-off loop on the Superform/AF, so the component clamps itself in the hole. It is designed for lead diameters from 0.5 to 0.8 mm.

• Lead diameter 0.5 to 0.8 mm, listed in the catalogue only for the standard Superform/AF 7915.095.
• Lower build than the plain stand-off dies, with body height H of 4.5 to 8 mm above the board.
• Lead length below the bend z of 3 to 4 mm, lead pitch P from 10.5 to 61 mm.
• Component body up to 50 mm long and 8 mm in diameter, machine output up to 7000 components per hour.

In-line assembly with wave or selective soldering where the board travels between insertion and solder bath, and manual population of larger assemblies.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The die assembly belongs to the Superform/AF cutting, bending and preforming machine. Machine accessories are the motor unit Iteco 7915.032 at 230 V or Iteco 7915.033 at 115 V, the BR6 tape reel holder Iteco 7915.185 and the CS40 feeder Iteco 7915.184 for loose components. Supplied as a set of two preforming groups, the machine itself is not included.
