TO92 die assembly with center lead offset 1.27 mm for Supercut/TS1 - Iteco 182500

TO92 devices arrive with three leads in one row, while many boards expect the triangular drilling pattern. Die assembly 182500 moves the center lead 1.27 mm out of that row and trims all three leads in the same stroke, 2000 components per hour.

Operating features

• Offset of 1.27 mm - the center lead is moved by half a grid step, which produces the triangular drilling pattern
• Small package handled safely - the die grips the part, so nobody has to bend the short leads with pliers
• Equal lead length - cutting happens together with forming, so all three leads end at the same dimension
• Insertion in one orientation only - the staggered pattern prevents transistors from being fitted the wrong way round
• 2000 components per hour - manual top feed with foot pedal release

Applications

Small signal transistors, voltage regulators, temperature sensors and Hall sensors in TO92 packages that go into a triangular drilling pattern, and series where the orientation of the transistor has to be unambiguous.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die assembly works only in the pneumatic Supercut/TS1, which Iteco supplies without tooling under part number 7915.171. On the smaller Supercut/RS4 (7915.166) the same forming shape carries part number 162500. Changing to another forming shape of the range takes only a few moves and the machine stays the same. On request Iteco supplies the machine with a wire holder system and in a three cylinder version with custom dies for special shapes. Supplied as one complete die assembly. Made in Italy.
