Many moisture sensitive parts cannot take a 125 °C bake, the plastic body or the carrier tape sets the limit. The Sahara DRY 80 answers that with a controlled dry air atmosphere: between 40 and 100 °C it keeps chamber humidity below 5 percent RH, which is what makes the gentle 40 °C and 90 °C procedures of J-STD-033 possible at all.
Benefits in daily use
- Humidity control below 5 percent RH between 40 and 100 °C, reading range 1 to 95 percent RH with ± 2 percent RH accuracy.
- The tighter chamber holds the level reached instead of needing dry air blown in constantly, which cuts compressed air consumption.
- Same chamber as the Sahara 80: 458 x 372 x 472 mm inside, 8 levels, 1200 W, 45 kg.
- Two separate displays on the panel, PidLogger for temperature and DryControl for humidity.
- The countdown of up to 999 hours 59 minutes also covers the long 40 °C bake times, which under J-STD-033 can reach 79 days in the worst case.
- The temperature range stays at +40 to +280 °C, so the oven still performs classic IPC-1602 board baking.

Compatibility and scope of supply
Supplied with the oven itself, 2 chrome plated grid shelves, the PidLogger PID controller with datalogger and multifunction timer and the USB port for the PC link. Shelf height is free, 8 levels can be used in total. Matching accessories: extra shelf Iteco 8107.154, USB cable with PID Manager software Iteco 8107.215, door with tempered inspection window 200 x 200 mm Iteco 8107.117 and lateral cable entry 50 mm Iteco 8107.121. Dehumidification works by blowing in dry air, and the tighter chamber holds the level reached without continuous injection.
Standards and origin
Temperature and humidity control follow IPC-1602 for baking printed circuit boards and IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 for baking moisture sensitive SMD components at 40 °C and 90 °C. The oven is built in Italy.
