Nitrogen Nozzles
Soldering and Desoldering Tips
Hakko offers nitrogen nozzles for N2 soldering, in which nitrogen serves as a shielding gas to protect the solder joint area from oxidation. The range covers nozzle types A (B2706, B3121), B (B2707, B3122), C (B2708, B3123), D (B2709, B3124), E (B2898, B3561), F (B2899), G (B2900), H (B2901), I (B2902), and J in KF format (B2923). The B2xxx series fits Hakko FX-791/FX-792 N2 soldering iron modules; the B3xxx series is compatible with T14 N2 soldering tips. N2 soldering reduces bridging and improves wetting on lead-free alloys.
| Type | B2xxx | B3xxx |
|---|---|---|
| Type A | B2706 | B3121 |
| Type B | B2707 | B3122 |
| Type C | B2708 | B3123 |
| Type D | B2709 | B3124 |
| Type E | B2898 | B3561 |
| Type F | B2899 | - |

| Type H | B2901 | - |
| Type I | B2902 | - |
| Type J (KF) | B2923 | - |
Typical applications: N2 soldering on lead-free SAC alloys in series electronics manufacturing, rework on oxidation-sensitive surfaces, soldering on hot-air levelled (HAL) and ENIG finishes with high quality requirements, and prototype production where reduced bridging lowers the cleaning effort.
