Soldering tips CT6

Soldering tips

Weller CT6 soldering tips are designed for the MAGNASTAT soldering iron W101 and W101H and operate on the Curie temperature principle: an integrated magnetic material regulates tip temperature without external electronics. The range consists of chisel tips in two fixed temperature profiles (C7 at 370 °C and C8 at 425 °C) plus a bent variant (CT6 DX8, 425 °C, 5 mm). Tip widths run from 3.2 mm (CT6 C7/C8) through 5 mm (CT6 D7/D8) to 7 mm (CT6 E7/E8). The range is completed by solder bath inserts for the MAGNASTAT W101H small solder bath.

Curie temperature regulation - tip temperature is determined by the tip's own magnetic material, no external control electronics needed
Two temperature grades - "7" = 370 °C for standard tin-lead, "8" = 425 °C for lead-free and thermally sluggish joints
Solder bath inserts W101/W101H - T0051170799N and T0054230799 for small solder bath, specific geometry for wave/dip applications
🛠 Chisel width 3.2-7 mm - suitable for through-hole components and larger SMD pads

Typical applications: Manual soldering with the MAGNASTAT W101/W101H on THT components, small solder bath operations using the bath insert, rework and repair of through-hole assemblies, and use in environments without a regulated power station, since the Curie effect provides temperature stabilisation independently of the supply.
