Soldering tips CT6
Soldering tips
Weller CT6 soldering tips are designed for the MAGNASTAT soldering iron W101 and W101H and operate on the Curie temperature principle: an integrated magnetic material regulates tip temperature without external electronics. The range consists of chisel tips in two fixed temperature profiles (C7 at 370 °C and C8 at 425 °C) plus a bent variant (CT6 DX8, 425 °C, 5 mm). Tip widths run from 3.2 mm (CT6 C7/C8) through 5 mm (CT6 D7/D8) to 7 mm (CT6 E7/E8). The range is completed by solder bath inserts for the MAGNASTAT W101H small solder bath.
| Model | Shape | Width | Temperature |
|---|---|---|---|
| CT6 C7 | Chisel | 3.2 mm | 370 °C |
| CT6 C8 | Chisel | 3.2 mm | 425 °C |
| CT6 D7 | Chisel | 5 mm | 370 °C |
| CT6 D8 | Chisel | 5 mm | 425 °C |
| CT6 DX8 | Chisel bent | 5 mm | 425 °C |
| CT6 E7 | Chisel | 7 mm | 370 °C |
| CT6 E8 | Chisel | 7 mm | 425 °C |
Typical applications: Manual soldering with the MAGNASTAT W101/W101H on THT components, small solder bath operations using the bath insert, rework and repair of through-hole assemblies, and use in environments without a regulated power station, since the Curie effect provides temperature stabilisation independently of the supply.
