Soldering tips
The Weller LTR and LT-HPB soldering tips are compatible with the WSP80, MPR80 and FE75 soldering stations. The range includes chisel-form tips in widths of 1.6x0.8 mm (LTR A) and 3.2x0.8 mm (LTR-C) plus a standard tip for the named stations. The LT-HPB designation refers to the High Performance Blade geometry, combining a broad heat contact surface with a narrow profile.

LTR A (1.6x0.8 mm) is suited to smaller pads and through-hole assembly with medium cross-section. LTR-C (3.2x0.8 mm) transfers more heat to larger pads and ground planes. Both types should be cleaned after each use with a damp sponge or brass wool and stored tinned with fresh solder to prevent tip oxidation.
Typical applications: Manual rework and touch-up on THT components, cable assembly soldering, repair of PCBs with medium-size pads, and production workstations using WSP80 or FE75 stations. The compact chisel geometry allows precise positioning without thermally stressing adjacent components.
