Soldering tips CT5
Soldering tips
Weller CT5 soldering tips are designed for MAGNASTAT soldering irons with the CT5 tip connection and offer chisel forms from 1.6 mm (CT5 A7) to 5 mm (CT5 D7/D8) in two temperature grades (7 = 370 °C, 8 = 425 °C) plus a low-temperature variant (CT5 C6 = 310 °C). Bent versions are also available: CT5 AX7/AX8 (1.6 mm), CT5 BX7 (2.4 mm), and CT5 DX8 (5 mm) for restricted-access joints. With 12 items, the CT5 series covers the standard chisel widths for both THT and SMD applications.
| Model | Shape | Width | Temperature |
|---|---|---|---|
| CT5 A7 | Chisel | 1.6 mm | 370 °C |
| CT5 AX7 / AX8 | Chisel bent | 1.6 mm | 370 / 425 °C |
| CT5 B7 / B8 | Chisel | 2.4 mm | 370 / 425 °C |
| CT5 BX7 | Chisel bent | 2.4 mm | 370 °C |
| CT5 C6 | Chisel | 3.2 mm | 310 °C |
| CT5 C7 / C8 | Chisel | 3.2 mm | 370 / 425 °C |
| CT5 D7 / D8 | Chisel | 5 mm | 370 / 425 °C |
| CT5 DX8 | Chisel bent | 5 mm | 425 °C |
Typical applications: Manual SMD and THT soldering with MAGNASTAT irons, rework on densely populated boards using bent tip variants (AX/BX), temperature-sensitive soldering at 310 °C (CT5 C6), and series soldering of through-hole leads with high thermal mass at 425 °C.
