Soldering tips RTM
Soldering tips
The Weller RTM series provides micro soldering tips for the WXMP and WMRP irons, designed for precision work on fine SMD components. The range covers conical tips from 0.1 mm (RTM 001 C NW) through chisel geometries from 0.2x0.1 mm up to 3.6x0.9 mm, including bent 30° variants (RTM 008 S X) and the solder depot tip RTM 020 G (1.2x2 mm). Tips marked "NW" are chrome-plated and non-wettable, intended for repositioning 0201 and 0402 components without transferring solder.
| Type | Geometry | Dimension | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| RTM 002 C | Conical | 0.2 mm | Standard tip |
| RTM 008 S X | Chisel bent 30° | 0.8x0.4 mm | Hard-to-reach areas |
| RTM 020 G | Solder depot | 1.2x2 mm | Defined solder volume |
| RTM 001 C NW | Conical, non-wettable | 0.1 mm | 0201/0204 components |
| RTM 028 X | Measurement tip | - | Temperature measurement WXMP/WMRP |
| RTM 036 S | Chisel | 3.6x0.9 mm | Largest chisel in series |
All RTM tips are compatible with the WXMP and WMRP soldering irons. The RT-1SC03 tip (0.3x0.15 mm chisel) belongs to the RT series and is also listed in this category.
Typical applications: Rework and repair of SMD components (0201, 0402, 0603), precision soldering on mobile devices, watch electronics and sensors, placement corrections in PCB assembly, and work requiring controlled solder volumes on ICs and fine-pitch components. The 30° bent variants enable access in congested areas on densely populated boards.
